Hijazi factory for smoked and salted fish owned by fisherman Mohammed Hijazi from Rafah in Gaza Strip, the idea of ​​the project started by producing small quantities at home with the help of his wife and sons, and after encouraging family and friends. In 2011, Ibrahim rented a place to develop his project idea into a small factory consist of oven room with a hood for the smoking process of fish, cold room, fish vacuum packaging machine and metal holders for hanging fish. Mohammed works with the help of his four sons and rented workers in the seasons of demand for his product especially during the Islamic holidays in Palestine. Mohammed imports mackerel fish from Norway to prepare smoked fish and use meager & mullet fish to prepare salted fish for selling in the local Palestinian market. Ibrahim aspires to build a factory to produce smoked and salted fish according to international specifications and standards and would like to market the smoked and salted fish on the FISH MED NET platform.
