Fishermen's cooperative association in Okaiba

Okaybeh fishing cooperative was founded in the 90s and the building was constructed on government land. It initially consisted of 30 members. It owns a market for selling fresh fish and the market is located inside the fishermen’s port. The cooperative decided to improve the income for the benefit of fishers by increasing the added value for fish by establishing a fish restaurant adjacent to the fish market. The seafood is prepared (grilled , fried and Raw) and can be complemented by Lebanese appetizers(meza). The restaurant offers local fish coming from The fishermen that supply the fish and they are also the chefs for the same restaurant
